Thank you for voting yesterday. Based on your vote, Gianluca shot photographs of Don Felipo Godoy. You can see his photographs and more in today's Image Gallery. Now on to today's Dilemma.
The Blue Zones home-base, Dorati Lodge, is a small lodge run by a local family. In the nearly three weeks that we’ve stayed here, the family has come to treat us like friends. Their warmth and terrific service has played an important role in maintaining the team’s morale.
Our dilemma is about the bill. In the U.S, when a large group rents out an entire facility for an extended period of time, as we have here, it’s customary to offer a group discount. Blue Zones runs a tight budget, and every dollar counts. At the same time, while the family that runs the lodge makes a decent income, they could definitely use the extra money — and their above and beyond service has touched all of us. Should we ask for a discount?
