Cool genes…
When the Blue Zones team heard about an intriguing group of people called
the Chorotega, we had to find out more. The Chorotega are a lineage of
meso-American Indians who we heard retain the same features and customs as
their ancestors thousands of years ago. Yesterday you voted for the team to
determine if Chorotega genes might be linked to longevity in the region.
So, today we visited two small towns, Matambu and San Vicente, where
descendents of this indigenous community were reported to live.
