Faith: A Life-Giving Force?

Every once in a while, a story presents itself that shatters the routine - an “ah-haa” moment that reminds us why we come to do these Quests! Today I experienced one of those stories.

In 2006 while verifying age in Nicoya, we met 99-year old Abuela Panchita. In America, only 1 in 7 women over 100 can even take care of themselves. Panchita not only lives alone, but also splits logs and clears brush with a machete that is almost as tall as she is.
