When it comes to Okinawa's diet of longevity, less is more and more is less.
Today, we met up with Dr. Craig Willcox on a Quest for the world's
healthiest foods and some suggestions for eating our way into the next
century. Willcox, a bookish looking professor with sharp features and
round, Harry Potter glasses, is one of the world's top experts in
Okinawan longevity. He, along with his twin brother, Brad, and their
mentor, Dr. Suzuki, have studied centenarians here for over a dozen
years. Their work has yielded countless academic articles and two
books, The Okinawa Diet and the New York Times best-selling Okinawa Program.
Most of what the world knows about Okinawan longevity comes from this
trio, and in many ways, their work inspired the Blue Zones Quest.
